Royally Quacked: An LA Kings and Anaheim Ducks Hockey Podcast
Episode 86- Ducks spoil Gibsons return, Kings break point record!
A week like this doesn’t just hand us headlines; it tests what we believe about two very different SoCal trajectories. We kick off with the Kings’ strange run of banking points without regulation wins and why that stat can hide bigger issues, from penalty trouble to shot suppression. Then we pivot to Anaheim’s surge: a faster, cleaner transition game powered by Leo Carlson’s playmaking, Troy Terry’s finishing touch, and Mason McTavish’s bully-in-traffic mindset. Mix in the emotions of John Gibson’s return and a shootout masterclass in Florida, and you’ve got a fascinating snapshot of where the Ducks are going.
We also zoom out to the wider NHL. Milestones matter—Kucherov at 1,000, Hedman at 800, and Crosby’s march to 1,700—because they frame the standard stars must chase. Meanwhile, long-term contracts for Thomas Harley, Logan Cooley, and Martin Necas tell the real cap-era story: smart teams lock core skill for eight years and build around it. We debate the Frozen Frenzy concept too and make the case for a staggered, all-day slate that actually grows the pie for fans, fantasy nerds, and casual viewers.
Game recaps bring it all home. Ducks-Lightning and Ducks-Panthers show how a sturdy goalie and opportunistic special teams can tilt tight margins. Kings-Predators and Kings-Sharks reveal the tension between LA’s offensive depth and their tendency to sit in the box and bleed shots. Still, there are bright lights: Brant Clark’s confidence, Alex Turcotte’s touches, and yes, Corey Perry’s net-front edge sparking real offense in LA. We end with bold predictions, a standings health check, and a few surprises that might not be flukes.
If you’re here for insight, laughs, and honest takes on what’s real vs. early-season noise, you’re in the right spot. Hit follow, share with a fellow hockey fan, and drop your hot take or favorite Halloween candy in the comments. Want more episodes like this? We're lo we're live now. Oh. Welcome back, hockey fans, to episode eighty-six of Royally Quacked. Or I guess I'm quack today. I guess you get to be royal.
SPEAKER_04:Aww. I quit. I don't want to be royal. Unless there's a lot of money involved.
SPEAKER_01:You never know.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:How's it going, Cody?
SPEAKER_04:Good. Just a very interesting week, you know. Um, you know, we had the podcast with the Go Dwigs and Go Home on TikTok on Wednesday. A lot of fun. It was um, then on Thursday I was on the South Florida Tribune one. Uh, we finally started that up again. And then, of course, yesterday, right before work, my and while I was sleeping, I I guess I was stretching a little too hard, and my calf just decided to get the biggest cramp possible. And I kid you not, like it was like the biggest knot on my calf, and it hurt, and it still hurts when I walk. So I'm great. Oh, I know. My week was crazy too. Oh, and I and I got bit by another dog yesterday at work. Uh that's three now. It wasn't too bad, I hope. No, it got it's more like the dog bit my pants, like you know, like where your back pocket is on your pants. He bit there and just pulled. Like, I didn't feel any teeth marks on me or anything like that. He just almost took off my pants. That was really it. Okay. Wow. But other than that, um, you know, especially after last night, it was great. I'm not a big Halloween person, but the game was so much fun.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I was uh I had been given a project. I was creating an Excel spreadsheet for 33 cars. So when we do inspections, we can have everything documented, which will be even our older cars. The inspect first inspection will be whatever date we get this started, and then I was gonna leave about like 7:30 because I was in about 10:45, and one of my drivers got rear-ended, so again, wow, uh again. It this one wasn't bad, but it took time and I didn't get home till just before midnight. Oh, and I forgot. Uh, we have people out, so we have somebody doing a double route, so we have to a stop that they can't go to when they do the double route, or just adds way too much time to their route. And I forgot to put it to the other driver, even though I put him in on the email, I forgot to give him the delivery and pickup at a location, which I had to do this morning. Oh, so it wasn't a fun day yesterday. Yeah, so but other than that, I mean, we're here, we get to do a podcast, and yes, yesterday is over.
SPEAKER_04:Yesterday is over. That's a good and it's the weekend, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:It's gonna go by really fast again, just like it did last week, but at least we're started on this. So I love to start the weekend off on a podcast, so and uh well.
SPEAKER_04:Um, let me see. You want to get into Doug? Uh you why don't you start with King's News? Okay, switch it up.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, so Kings fans. I don't know if you know, but the Kings set an NHL record. I mean, it's not a record I'd want to be totally known for. Uh, but it they scored nine points in nine games with no regulation wins. That's the most points scored uh at a point a game with no regulation wins. They did break it the very next game, so they didn't can make the record get bigger, but not necessarily the record I'd want to set.
SPEAKER_04:It's not the worst record to set, but it's not like one you want to celebrate either.
SPEAKER_01:Not totally, uh, it's it's an odd one.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, at least you weren't uh at least Jim Hiller wasn't going out there like, hey, I would I would give away one of my kids for a win. You know, like the sharks coach did. Did you hear that? No, I didn't hear that. Yeah, he he literally said because well at the time before they the sharks finally beat the Rangers, they lost like technically like almost 16-17 games in a row because they had like a 12-game losing streak last year to end the season, and then all the losses to start the season, and I think you they were just you know tired of losing, and he's like, I'd give up one of my kids for a win right now. Obviously, they've won now, and he still has all his kids, so good news.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, huh?
SPEAKER_01:Geez, it's hard to give away adult children. On other kings news, um Warren Fogle out with an upper body injury. I don't know if anybody saw it. Uh, it wasn't like a bad play, it was a check into the boards, just the way he went with his arm up so high. I think he wrenched his shoulder. Hopefully, he won't be out too long. Uh, maybe this is gonna give him you know a few days to get that restart because he's he's been one of our slow starters this year. So hope Warren will be back uh back soon. Um, you know, I'm not even sure. I haven't looked at the report for today because I know they're playing um the devils today. Uh, if he might be back tonight, um, but I haven't heard anything about that. On to other Kings news, and uh this is news that a lot of people want to hear. Hiller and Clark talk about more ice time, and I think it's about it's about time, Adam. Yeah, it's about time they started talking about that. No, that that that was I know, no, I know when he said it. I was just gonna, and I actually it's what it my actual note says, it's about time. Uh well, about more ice time, it's about time for it. So, anyways, also in that talk uh was uh Alex Turcott, and I think both of these young guys have been playing uh some of the better hockey for the Kings this uh season, so that's good news. Good news, and I think Clark leads all our all of our defensemen in points right now. I think I think he's like seven, seven or eight points. I know Adam. I was just playing off it, okay.
SPEAKER_04:We started like two minutes late, okay? He he he's just mad because he didn't get the memo that I put out on Friday that there was no live stream last week last week, and then he messaged me on Saturday. Hey, uh, I I can't find you guys. We're uh and I was like, Adam, I I put it out on social media.
SPEAKER_01:Well, it's funny you talk about that. I've got 16 people underneath me, and I always tell them before you leave to go on your route, check your emails, check your text messages, and then at night, before you leave the office, check your emails and check your text messages, and then you know you send something out that's important, and then the next day they're doing something wrong, and you go, Did you not read your text messages and your emails? And that's pretty much life.
SPEAKER_04:Oh, yeah, that that happened to me when I was at Downs. I didn't check my phone before we uh and I was training someone that day. I was before we went to go load the diesel, and he I guess he messaged me while we were on the rack, and you're not supposed to have your phone out or anything like that. And he told me, don't get diesel. There was a mix-up uh where you're going, get red dye diesel, and I didn't get the message, and then so we already loaded everything and yeah, made our day a lot longer than it wanted to be. Yeah, and by the way, Clark does have the most points for defenseman at seven. That's not bad. Yeah, Edmondson is in second with five.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, well, I I think uh Clark is the future, um at least offensively for the Kings. Yeah, now I want to uh just have a prospect update. This isn't gonna be every player, but you know, some of those main players you know about uh Brustevich um has four goals and three assists in 10 games with the London Knights. That's a nice start. And Carter George um with Owen Sound has five wins, a 2.82 goals against average, and a save percentage of 909%. Liam Greentree with the Windsor Spitfires has six goals, six assists in eight games. And honestly, I think that's a little low for him. That's about a point and a half a game.
SPEAKER_04:Well, and maybe he's working on stuff the Kings told him to work on, and it's kind of to change up his game to get him more NHL ready for next year.
SPEAKER_01:Well, I don't think they're as loaded offensively, so I'm gonna I'm gonna bet you he's not gonna have 119 points this year because he he had he had helpers. I mean, to get all the assists, you've got to have someone putting the puck in the net, right? And then you have to have someone give you that puck where you're in a good scoring position to score goals, but still 12 or um 12 points in eight games. That's a point and a half a game. I don't know what that turns into, but it's it's probably close to 100 points, I would think, for the season for him. Uh Jimmy Lombardi has four goals and 10 assists in 11 games for the Flint Firebirds. Then um Brustevich's uh partner, Jared Woolley, he has five goals and six assists in the same uh 10 games. So what that's a pretty good pair, and then Hammers Slukinsky from Western Michigan uh has four wins in six games, uh 2.2 um goals against average and a save percentage of 902 percent. And that's King's news.
SPEAKER_04:All right, we'll go on to Duck's news. Um in the Tampa Bay game, mchal grandless mikhail grandlin suffered a lower body injury during the game, and he is out week to week. I also heard I believe it was either Zach Kavanaugh or Derek or Patrick, one of the three Ducks Insider guys. Um, they were talking to Quenville, and I think Quenville said it'd be like an estimate about three weeks. So hopefully uh Granny gets uh healthy again and comes back and starts playing like he he did in that Bruins game with a five-point night.
SPEAKER_01:Um but you know, he I don't think it's totally hurt them. Yes, and no. I mean, obviously, having him on the ice is a difference maker, too, but they have been playing pretty well.
SPEAKER_04:Yes, no, they they have that is true. Um uh next bit of news is Jansen Harkins makes his season debut for the ducks on Tuesday versus the Florida Panthers. He was out with an injury he suffered in, I believe, uh training camp. And then um, so now and we finally found out why Chris Kreider was out those last what three or four games of the road trip. Um, he Chris Crider revealed the illness that sidelined him for the last four games was hand, foot, mouth disease. I've never heard of it until oh, I've heard of it. Yeah, okay. So Elliot Freeman said, most parents like if you're a parent, you know this disease. Obviously, that should tell you that I'm not a parent, and uh, so I have I had no idea what this was, but I heard it's terrible. Everyone, Elliot Freeman said I think one of his kids got it one time, and it was he said his kid was just he said it was like the worst thing possible. Um it even Kreider said, and quote, it was terrible, and obviously they didn't want to uh didn't want to give it to anyone on the team, so I was locked in a in the hotel room for a few days. It's awful. I don't recommend it.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, by the way, you you can you can change that parent thing anytime you want, mom and I would love it. I know.
SPEAKER_04:I'm done. Yeah, all right. Um, anyways, back to hockey. Um you know, but it was good to see uh Kreider back. He he he did play in Last Name's game, but we'll get more on that later. Um, and then the next bit of news is the Ducks did a Halloween prank where they had, I guess they actually hired like scare actors and stuff like that. So or that I guess the Ducks players would walk to get to the locker room for practice and everything. They were doing like construction, and they had like guys in like welding mask and work attire and everything, and um they purposely had like smoke and sparks go off to scare them, and then they would take off their map, uh their welding mask, and then they had clown mask on to scare them. The best reactions of that was by far Jacob Truba just you know going into the corner. I I think he was more scared of like the you know the sparks and the smoke and everything. Because you know, I mean it I would have been really I probably would have done the exact same thing as Truba, but he like turtled in the corner and everything. But the funniest one it was Cutter, Nestoranko, and Granland all walking in together, and as soon as like the loud noise, you know, made a bang, and then smoke and the sparks went off. Uh Granlon and Nestoranko booked it. Like, I kid you not, they sprinted back the other where they came from and just left Cutter there to just suffer. It was pretty funny and everything. A lot of guys got scared and everything like that. And they actually had a pit uh got a view of one of the clowns coming in and scaring Carlson again right in front of the locker room with a like a loud like a horn, and it even Pat Verbeek was standing there, he's like, Wow, that was loud. Like I said, it that was it was funny and all, but I'm gonna do a little not a little tangent, a little I would say another way to get to it. Someone else that got that looked really scared this week. It wasn't any ducks players, it was a former ducks player. It was Trevor Ziegris in the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the very end, I believe of overtime.
SPEAKER_01:Did you see you did you see the video? I haven't seen the video, but I I've heard about it. Is that what where he he picked a fight with the wrong guy?
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, he he like punched a car in the back, and a car just got up and stood up, and you just see Trevor go like hands up, like you could tell, like he literally, you know, went to the bathroom right there. That's all I'm gonna say. Yeah, um, but yeah, uh it it that was the funniest reaction to that because I think Trevor Ziegers was more scared about that than the ducks players were scared with the Halloween prank. And yeah, mom also put uh hand foot mouth is very painful, lots of blisters. Yeah, that's that's what I didn't want to get into very details because I heard I heard uh Kyle Acar talk about Unlocked on Ducks and then Elliot Friedman on 32 Thoughts. I'm like I do not want to talk about all the disgusting stuff with that, so um, but yeah, but that's it for ducks news right now.
SPEAKER_01:So on to league news.
SPEAKER_04:Yes, so on Tuesday we had the frozen frenzy where all 32 teams played in on one single night. And the funny thing is, uh I totally forgot this was happening. There was no I didn't even see any. I there was like I didn't see anything on social media like oh frozen frenzies next Tuesday, or but you know, or I didn't see any of that. And why on a Tuesday? I feel like they're they could have done this a lot different. Like I know they don't want to try to do it on a Saturday or Sunday to kind of come uh compete with uh you know college football and and in the NFL, but I for I forgot who said this. Like I said, it wasn't my idea. I forgot who said it. But what they should do is um, I think it was on the on the sheet with Merrick and uh his producer Zach. They were saying it should be on the Saturday before the Super Bowl would be a good time to do it. That way it's on the weekend and everything because nobody's or or the Pro Bowl weekend, it was either the Pro Bowl weekend or the Super Bowl weekend, like that around that time, and just do it then, and you you'll have more audience, you'll have you know it's on the weekend. Probably more people are able to attend games. And here's my honest opinion for this.
SPEAKER_01:What I've just I've got I I want to take the blues one for just a funny reason that I'm looking at.
SPEAKER_04:Okay, keep going. All right, I want that one. Okay, you can have it, that's fine. Um, and I feel like instead of starting every game like 15 minutes, 15 minutes, 15 minutes, I kind of miss how they did it when they did the the first round uh after like COVID happened where all 24 teams made it. We had like hockey from like 10 a.m. all the way to like 10 p.m.
SPEAKER_01:I want to get I think the the Kings game was uh eight o'clock at night.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, and it was late. Yeah, but like no, I I want it like ending at eight or I'm sorry, not at 10 o'clock, not at like you know, almost midnight. You know, I feel like that like there should be like a game that starts at like 10 a.m. and then every half hour or so a new game starts.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, but then you don't you you don't get as much of the exposure for people to watch it, that's what they're looking for.
SPEAKER_04:Exposure I've had I remember when that that when that when they were doing that, there were so many fans like dude, this is awesome! Like, pretty much like 12 you get more exposure because you're going for 12 hours instead of the seven and a half hours they did on Tuesday. Now you got stuff seven and a half, you got 12. A lot, and that's if you think about it, if you have that time, that extra what four and a half hours. You get also that's also how much more time for advertisements, more sponsorships, and all this.
SPEAKER_01:I meant for the people to watch their teams because there'd be a lot of competition. There's you'd have you know four games going on, they'd have four games going on at all.
SPEAKER_04:But there was more competition during Tuesday's night because they were doing it every 15 minutes. Okay, they were doing like four o'clock, four fifteen, four thirty. Oh, so you're saying spread it out a little bit more, okay? Yeah, spread it out a little bit more, and you get more time because that's what they did like for the the first that first round of COVID, those like those playoff games, and everyone was loving it. So that's what I'm saying. But uh, what did you have any thoughts on the Frozen Fury?
SPEAKER_01:Um, it was kind of crazy. I mean, 30 32 teams all playing in one day. Um, it was great for uh fantasy hockey because everybody had everybody to be able to play, so you had definitely more choices um on fantasy hockey night and stuff. So um, it's probably one of the biggest uh nights for fantasy players because, like I said, you always have someone who can play, unless they're injured. Yep.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, and so I'll talk about that one later.
SPEAKER_01:All right.
SPEAKER_04:Um you want to go next?
SPEAKER_01:Sure. Uh the Capitals have signed forward Brett Leeson to a one-year$775,000 deal.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, uh that's where he uh he was before he was a duck. So congrats. I I like I said I liked Brett Leeson. I wish the ducks would have re-signed him.
SPEAKER_01:I I liked him too. I liked the way he played.
SPEAKER_04:I think he'd be a good playoff, a good fourth-line playoff guy.
SPEAKER_01:Obviously, uh Quinnville felt differently, so that's why he's there anymore.
SPEAKER_00:I don't know if it was Quinnville. I think it was Verbeek. Verbeak? Yeah, but I like to call him Verpeak because his nose looks like uh the little the little ball of hate will come after you for that.
SPEAKER_01:That's okay. He can come after me. I'm not afraid of him.
SPEAKER_04:Um, and then some some sad news here, not sad, but not positive news. Former NHL or and former duck Ryan Kessler has been charged with fourth degree criminal sexual assault conduct and has pleaded not guilty. That's not good.
SPEAKER_01:No, you don't get uh to that point in it where it's being announced that they don't have something of credibility behind it, but I guess we'll hear more as that goes on.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, so uh I don't know too much about the whole this and everything, so maybe we'll when we can update, we'll update it. This update on the podcast. So, all right, you got the blues one. Go. Okay, I don't know what made I don't know what made this funny.
SPEAKER_01:You'll see in a minute. Blues forward, Jake neighbors will miss at least five weeks with a right leg injury. Like a good neighbor, state farm is there. And who is the state farm guy? Jake. Jake neighbors. I just thought it was funny. I don't know if anybody else would have thought of that, but I did.
SPEAKER_04:Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there with the new co-host. I didn't work. Wow, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:You're still here. I don't know how to process this. I just I don't know. I I saw it made me think of it right away.
SPEAKER_04:Well, everyone, I I think we found one of the most ultimate dad jokes of all time. And it's live here on Royally Quacked. All right, uh, Adam hop in. Oh god, that was bad. All right, I that's why it was that's why it was fun. I I want to hear in the comments what everyone thought of that.
SPEAKER_01:Well, I can already see it.
SPEAKER_04:I will say it was clever. I will give you that. It was clever. Oh, even mom. There it is. Bad dad joke.
SPEAKER_01:It's okay. I didn't do it for her.
SPEAKER_04:Adam's dead. Great job, Dad. You killed Adam.
SPEAKER_01:Adam, I guess you're switching to allegiance if you want to be a co-host. It'll be it'll be quacked quacked.
SPEAKER_04:All right. How about just quackers? Isn't that something you want to be called? Well, you're two quacks. Quacker. Yeah, but never mind. I I don't want to go into a whole history lesson here. All right, let's get back, let's get back to the news. Um, devil's defenseman Brett Pesci will miss at least a month with an upper body injury. Wow.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Now we got signings. Dallas Stars re-signed defenseman Thomas Harley to an eight-year 10.58.6 million AAV contract.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Wow, how do you how come you go four decimals? After maybe he likes math. I don't know. And that's uh perb, uh Pierre Le Brun.
SPEAKER_04:Honestly, I I think it's someone that take uh deserves that this kind of deal. Oh, absolutely. I agree. You know, I I I I like the way he plays. He really I would say made a name for himself at last year's Four Nation, or I should say this last earlier this year's Four Nation, I should say.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, he was uh key member for USA.
SPEAKER_04:You know, when McCart went out, he he was a big thing for uh team.
SPEAKER_01:They had a they had a couple of young defensemen come in and play really well for him, yeah.
SPEAKER_04:Um, and the next bit of news um another big a lot of eight-year contracts here. Utah mammoth sign forward Logan Cooley to an eight-year$10 million AAV contract extension in this and all and uh by the all these deals that we're talking about will start next year, by the way. Um so ducks fans. I'm guessing that this is gonna look closely to what Carlson's next contract will probably be. It's gonna be like this or more.
SPEAKER_01:Wow. Oh, yeah. The the double-digit millions are becoming the norm now.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Um Colorado, uh Colorado Avalanche have signed pending restricted free agent Martin Niches to an eight year 11.5 million AAV contract. Well, there goes another guy that would. Nobody's gonna get he's gonna stay in Colorado.
SPEAKER_04:It it it's funny because a lot of people were saying, like, wow, like they didn't think that Natchez was gonna sign before Kempe. They thought uh out of the two, they thought it was gonna be Natchez going to free agency and Kempe was gonna be signing the long-term deal. But again, that deal right there is gonna look pretty close to what Kempe's probably gonna be getting because I think Kempe is a better player than Natchez is, in my honest opinion. Yeah, I I don't I don't know. Obviously, I have nothing against Natchez. I think he's a fantastic player. Absolutely. I I just think Kempe is more valuable.
SPEAKER_01:So I I I I could think of uh 31 other teams that would probably like to have him on their team.
SPEAKER_04:But the good news for Colorado is they don't have uh the ranting in 2.0 kind of situation. True. So now they're not worrying about like if you're gonna sign here or not. Oh, we're just gonna trade you. All right, and then uh Nikita Nestor, uh Nikita Nestor, Nikita Kutrov has achieved a significant milestone in his career by recording his 1000th point, and that was against the uh Anaheim Ducks, by the way, too.
SPEAKER_01:Yes, and I believe in the same game, right? Victor Henman records his 800th career point and becomes the third Swedish defenseman to reach this milestone.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, two two they're gonna be two Hall of Famers right there. Uh, not a doubt. Yep, and then speaking of future Hall of Famers, Sidney Crosby made history on October 27th, becoming the ninth player in NHL history to reach 1700 points. He hit the milestone with a goal and two assists in the Penguins 6-3 win over the Blues. Uh, Crosby is just the fourth player to achieve this while spending his entire career with one team joining legends like Gordy Howe, Steve Iserman, and Mario Lemieux.
SPEAKER_01:And talk about the talk about the Hall of Fame right there. Yeah, no doubt. Yeah, not only is he a great hockey player, he he's just a great person. Yes, he is, and I do miss um him and flurry pranking each other. I I just totally miss that, yeah. Um, and you know, Fleury, obviously another Hall of Famer, Mark Andre Fleury, yeah. I'm I'm I'm gonna miss him. I mean, he's been a staple for the last years, and just before I go, we go on to the next piece of news, Adam. You had a chance, you really did. I think you were the first person Cody asked to do a duck podcast with him.
SPEAKER_04:Uh no.
SPEAKER_01:No, no, I brought him up and you said no, he couldn't do it. Did I ask? That's what I can't remember if I did. He adam when Cody talked about doing uh I don't think I ever no, you did because I asked I go. What about Adam? Adam would be perfect for the uh another uh duck coach.
SPEAKER_04:Oh, I think it was like the job thing. I think he couldn't do it because of his job.
SPEAKER_01:But what I'm that's what I'm trying to say. You had your chance, it could have been whatever Cody's name would have been. I can't remember what you had picked out.
SPEAKER_04:Oh, I have it, I'm saving it for myself for later.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, so you're gonna go go solo, huh?
SPEAKER_04:No, no, I'm not going. I'm not I'm not gonna go just in Tuberlink on you, okay. Don't worry.
SPEAKER_01:Well, hey, you got you got a co-host.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah. Well, I'm pretty sure I I I think doing this, I've met so many more people, like people that I could if I wanted to, I could do it now.
SPEAKER_01:So you're just uh throwing Adam out with a bath water.
SPEAKER_04:No, I'm just saying, well, I mean, I mean, there's Adam. I could have, you know, like I said, I I there's other people that I'm pretty sure if I asked now, they'd be like, Oh, yeah, let's do it.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, you're in a long line, Adam.
SPEAKER_04:Well, no, I I think Adam would be it would be on top just because we we got we we can go back and forth, him and I, with all that with the duck stuff, too. Uh I'm sure, yeah. So I'm sure and then and hey, it would be also another connection. We you and I, the umpiring one, and then uh Adam and I can do umpiring stuff too. Yeah, which I kind of do want to like do like an umpire project next off season.
SPEAKER_01:We're gonna get Adam, Eric, you and I, and we're gonna do an um Royally Quack the umpire edition, you know, and talk about games we've done sometimes together.
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, you know.
SPEAKER_01:I mean, I I've I've already told about a story about Eric, yeah you know, so I mean I just think it'd be fun. Yeah. Am I up next? Yes, you're up. Okay, Brad Marchand is stepping away from the Florida Panthers to help a friend whose daughter died last week of cancer. March and is uh Marchhand is serving as a guest coach Wednesday night for the under 18 March and Mill Company hunters in his hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia, in place of friend JP McCallum. Marchhand is also a co-owner of the team. I he as much as people hate him sometimes playing against him, he's actually a pretty good guy off the ice, and and a night. I mean, that's that's big. He's stepping away to help someone, you know, that's uh is hurting.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:So I give kudos to uh Brad for that.
SPEAKER_04:That's why he uh he did not play in the duck uh the game against the ducks on Tuesday.
SPEAKER_01:Will he be back this next week?
SPEAKER_04:Uh I haven't heard anything. I'm guessing he he should be back. Uh I haven't uh been updated on if he's played or not since then. So um, and then last bit of the news is the New Jersey Devils have signed goalie Jacob Markstrom to a two-year extension worth six million AAV. So now they just have a little extra uh term on each of their goalies.
SPEAKER_01:That's this is kind of surprised me because he's been kind of injury prone this season, yeah.
SPEAKER_04:And also he's what like 37. Yeah, I don't know how old he is. He's pretty old, if I remember right. Let's see if I can Jacob Mar.
SPEAKER_01:Uh he is tell Max to knock it off. Max?
SPEAKER_04:That's Milo. Oh, Milo, sorry. Yeah, it's one of those M names. Yeah, oh he's oh sorry, he's 35 right now. I thought he was older. Yeah, anyways. Um, you want you want to get into game recaps? Sure. I'll let you go. Just well, because it's one, it would be an order, and two, you got one more game than I do.
SPEAKER_01:You know, I didn't prepare my game, so why don't you do one and I'll do one and I'll try to get mine set up. You had one job. I know. I was busy doing something else, if you remember right. You had one job, anyways.
SPEAKER_04:All right, so the ducks um on Sunday uh played in Tampa Bay, Florida, or should they Tampa, Florida, um, where they face off the against the Lightning. This was the fourth game of the five-game road trip. Uh, the Ducks fall to this one four to three uh against the Lightning. Like I said, this is the game that Kutcharov reaches a thousand points. Um, to get the scoring started in the first period, Jake Gensel scored his third of the year to take a one-nothing lead. And then in the second period, Jacob Truba got his second goal of the year, and then the assists go to Terry and McTavish. So we were tied one at the 442 mark, and then Jake Gensel again. So now we're on hat trick watch for Jake Gensel scores his fourth of the year to take a 2-1 lead, then Anthony Anthony Sorelli gets his fourth of the year uh to make it 3-1 Tampa Bay, and that so it was 3-1 after two periods, and then Ryan Paling gets his first as an Anaheim duck assist from Ross Johnston, Andrew Hellison to make it 3-2, and then Troy Terry gets his third of the year, Cutter Goodyear gets his second assist, and Leo Carlson his sixth assist. So now we're tied 3-3, and then at the 16-45 mark, Anthony Sorelli scores on the power play to make it his fifth goal of the year. Uh, and that was the final goal. So Tampa Bay wins this one four to three. The stats the Ducks did outshoot the Tampa Bay lighting 40 to 33. The ducks barely lost in the face-off percentage, 52 to 48. Ducks were 0 for 2 on the power play, but uh Tampa Bay was one for six, and the ducks had a total of 19 penalty minutes. Um, Tampa Bay did outshoot us 21 to 14, block shots 17 to 15 in favor of Anaheim, 23 giveaways for Tampa Bay to Anaheim's 10, and then the Ducks had eight takeaways, and Tampa Bay had five. Um, Bill Stahl was was fantastic in in this game, uh stopping, I believe it was 29 of 33. And then the three stars of the game, uh Jake Gensel with two goals, um is the number three. Uh Sorelli with two goals, one assist is number two, and the guy that uh got the thousand game, uh thousand points um was Nikita Kutrov. He got two assists in the game for two points, and he was the number one star.
SPEAKER_01:All right. So my my first game was um kings at the Nashville Predators, and I I don't know what's going on with the Kings. It's like they they somehow get to be competitive and then can't finish. So, I mean, let's go just go, we'll go straight to the scoring. Um, of course, in the first period, who starts off the scoring but the unsigned one, Adrian Kempe with his fifth from Clark and Kuzmenko, and the Kings are up one-nothing. But it didn't take but a minute and 33 seconds later, Ryan O'Reilly gets his fourth from Stazny his third, the nine-minute mark to tie the game to one-one. That's how the first period ended, and then 36 seconds into the second period. Philip Forsberg gets his third from Wood his first and O'Reilly is third to put the Predators up two to one. Then Joel Armia gets his first goal as a king, from Turcott his second, about a minute and uh about a minute later to tie the score two. Then who else but ex-Duck Corey or Scory Perry scores his second from Armia, his fourth, to put the Kings up 3-2. But then Cole Smith, uh, two minutes later, gets his third unassisted, and we're going into the third period tied three three. So we keep getting a lead and we keep giving it back. So we go to the third period, and Trevor Moore gets his third from Brant Clark as third assist and Edmondson his second assist at the 950 mark to put the Kings up 4-3. But at the 1444 mark, Ryan O'Reilly got gets his fifth from Forrestburg's third, and Haig his first on a wrist shot to tie the game. Goes to overtime, and I do believe the Kings should have won it in overtime, but they didn't, so it goes to a shootout. Seems like we've gone to a lot of shootouts right now. Um and Nashville chose to go first. O'Reilly scores, Kempe scores, then Forbesburg scores. Perry got you know, he he got uh shot off, but it was saved. Um Stamcos shot was saved. Trevor Moore scored a goal. It this went on for a little bit, if I remember right. Marcus save, Byfield save. Jesus, Wood save, Kazmenko save, Evangelista save, Fiala saved, and finally uh Eric Hall scores a goal. I don't know, it had Kevin Fiala in there again, but I don't think it could have been him twice. Um never had well it has him twice in the shootout, and you can't do it twice unless you go all the way around. Well, anyways, um, anyways, uh Hollow scored, Fiala scored, Bunting save, Fogle save, Wheezeblatt scores, and then Armia goes and a save. I think it went 11, and the Kings lose the game five to four. Let's go to let's go to the stats and just see. You know, it's it's it's such a weird season that totally unlike the Kings of last year, right now. Um we outshot Nashville 40 to 25, but they won the face-off 55 to 44 percent. We were 0 for 3 on the power play, they were 0 for 2, so at least our penalty kill finally did their job. Um, but hits were 23-11 Nashville block shots 19 to 7 Nashville. Now, of course, we win the giveaway one. We gave away 22 to 15. That seems like a too high of a number, and then takeaways were nine for Nashville, five for the Kings. Let's go to the three stars of the game. And obviously, there isn't a king in the bunch. Forrestberg with a goal and assist was the third star. Soros was the second star with a save percentage of nine percent and goals against the average of 3.69. And the number one star obviously was Ryan O'Reilly with two goals and an assist. And we can move on to your next game, Cody.
SPEAKER_04:It it got I even looked on ESPN and it has Fiala shooting twice. That's where I got it from. No, though that's on NHL. I'm looking on ESBN too. Weird, huh? I I gotta watch that if if it's possible. Like instead, he didn't go twice. I watched it. I'm kidding, because he literally went almost like twice in a row. That's weird, huh? Okay, um, so that now the ducks will face the Florida Panthers, as like I said earlier, uh, when Marshand was not gonna be playing in this game. Uh but uh so this ends the five-game road trip. So, right now, at this point, we the ducks are two, one, and one on the road trip. So then we head over to South Florida to face off the two-time defending champions, and the ducks do squeak one out in a shootout three to two, and here's the scoring. There was no scoring in the first period whatsoever. But I can tell you the ducks were getting outshot bad. Uh, it was 12 to 6 after one, and then 7 to 10 after uh 70 uh seven shots for the ducks, 10 shots for the Panthers. In the third period, the Ducks only had three shots on goal, and Florida only had six. And then even in the overtime, one shot for Anaheim, five shots for Florida. But the Ducks took three literally three penalties within the first 10 minutes of the second period. But luckily, on the third one, Leo Carlson gets a short-handed goal, and it's his fourth goal of the year, assist from Terry and Hellison. So the ducks take the lead one-nothing, uh, right around halfway point of the game at 9.59. And then Cutter Gaultier on the power play gets his sixth goal of the season. Uh, assist from Lacombe and Carlson. So now it's 2-0 Anaheim, and the Ducks were whole holding the lead pretty well, but then at the 11-12 mark, Anton Londell scores his third of the year, and then Sam Reinhardt scores, and now we were tied uh 2-2, and that was at the 1654 mark. We go into overtime, no score, and then we go into shootout. Uncle Leo goes first, and and he gets uh stopped. Uh Reinhart goes, don't stop him, and then Troy Terry does the I guess what they call the the no move move, and he did you know that you know that Kutarov move, Dad. That yes, I know what you're so he did he did it to the uh what was it markstrom twice? No, he did it to Leonard twice. No, Holpey, it was Braden Holpey.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I I go shame on you for the second time that happened to you.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, but well, Troy Terry did something similar, but he didn't mean to do it, and you could tell right away, like his when he smiled right after he scored, because he you could just tell right away he's like, Yeah, I didn't mean to score that. Um, or I didn't mean to do that, but yeah, it was funny. So he scores, and then Anton Lundell scores, so now we're tied one-one after two, and then Mason McTavish. Oh my god, he just embarrassed. Um, I don't remember the Panthers goalie. It was the backup guy. Um, he just embarrassed him, and oh, it was a terror teras off. That's what right, and just put it right between his legs, and Mason Retavish uh gets a second goal in the shootout, and then Dostal stops Evan Rodriguez. So the Ducks went in a shootout three to two and ends the five-game road trip. So the ducks are three-one to one on the road trip. And here are the stats. Um, ducks got outshot 33 to 17 and got killed in the face-off percentage 60 61 to 39. Power play. The ducks were one for five, but the power play was a perfect four for four. Uh penalty uh uh so hits uh 30 to 19 in favor of Florida. Um block shots 22 to 17, uh in favor of um Florida. Giveaways, each team had 16, and the ducks had four takeaways to two. And here are your three stars of the game. Uh Anton Lundell with the one goal as the number three star, Lukash Dostall, who had what was it, 31 saves? Yeah, 31 saves on 33 shots, uh, a goals against average of 1.89 and a save percentage of 939. He's the number two star, and then Mason McTavish is the number one star with the filthy shootout goal winner, and that is our second star or second game of the week.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, then we go to uh the 2026th against the Blackhawks in Chicago. It it was a good game. Chicago's surprising me, Cody. They are surprising. Yeah, um, I'm gonna go straight to the scoring, and of course, you know, last season I called them uh not the Blackhawks, but I called them the Bedards. And who scores first in the first period but Connor Bedard with his third goal from McKayf. Yep, his second assist at the 704 mark, and it is 1-0 Chicago, and it stayed that way through the first period. Then in the second period, um 330 into the second period, Alex LaFerriere, who's starting to play like he did a little bit more offensively, like last year. Uh he gets his second from Corey Perry, his first, and Philip Deneau his third to tie the score. Then a minute and 24 seconds later, Kevin Fiala gets his fifth from Brant Clark his fourth to put the Kings up after two periods, two games to one, or two two goals, two to one, and score two games to one. I'm thinking baseball all of a sudden. Then in the third period, Joel Armaria gets his second on an empty netter at the 1852 mark from Kempe his eighth, and Edmonton his third. And the Kings go and get a victory in Chicago. They're breaking their uh regulation win or no wins to at least to one, and the shots on goal, they were close. 23 Blackhawks, Kings 22 face-offs, uh Chicago 56 to 44 percent. Both of them were 0 for on the power play. The Kings were 0 for 3, um, Chicago 0 for 5. So obviously, our penalty kill decided to play a little at least a little bit, and then in hits, here's another that's another game 24 hits to 14. That's that's a big discrepancy. Um, block shots were eight eight giveaways, of course. We won that battle, which we don't want to win 19-11, and takeaways were six for Chicago, uh, four for the Kings. Let's go to the three stars. Um, obviously, uh Connor Bedard getting the only goal for Chicago was the third star. Alex LaFerrier was the second star with a goal, and Kevin Fiala also with a goal was the first star. So at least we broke the streak of non-regulation wins.
SPEAKER_04:So I found out who the Phantom second Fiala is. Okay. So the first Fiala, the one that got blocked in the Predators game in the shootout, was Philip Deneau. It wasn't Fiala, and then Eric Holla scored, and then Fiala goes, and then he scores. I just watched the full shootout right now, just to I sped through because I'm like, it was bugging me. It was a typo, it really didn't make it. But here's the thing: it was on NHL and ESPN, two different networks or two different like platforms. That's okay. Um, we're always talking crap on you. You're always talking crap on us, Adam.
SPEAKER_01:Well, I guess if the shoe fits, Adam, you gotta wear it. Alright.
SPEAKER_04:All right. I feel I feel better knowing who the phantom second Fiala was. Uh what were we talking? I don't know. Was it about you texting me last week about the why we weren't doing a live stream, or I don't know. Oh, we also had uh Kevin. Yeah, Kevin. Hope you guys are well. Glad to see you back on Twitch again this week. Yeah, we we had a we we just I had uh something to do last week and we couldn't do the live stream, but I know it's I like doing the live streams, they're fun.
SPEAKER_01:I gotta tell you, Kevin, you're very competitive in fantasy hockey, buddy. Way to go! Yeah, all right.
SPEAKER_04:Um, let's see, let's go back to my game. So here's my last game of the week, and it happened last night on Halloween. The ducks uh faced off against 10 times if I could oh that one, uh Adam. It was about um we were talking crap. I think that was when my dad was saying I wanted when I wanted to start just a ducks podcast, and I think I think I asked you when I first started, but you said you couldn't with work. That's the only we weren't talking crap, we were just your name got brought up, okay. But I think I asked you if you wanted to do the podcast, like host a ducks podcasting me, but I think you couldn't because of work. I believe that's what it was. Then uh Kevin, thanks, Gary. But I see your scores, and I'm scared to play you next week. I mean, Kevin, if you saw how bad my dad kicked my butt the other week, you should be scared. Oh, Kevin, it it every week change it changes, so Adam, and doing an all-umpire podcast with us two. Uh you, me, my dad, and Eric. That's right. Thank you, mom, for that. All right, back to how is that talking crap? No, I think he just he just heard his name because usually when we bring him up, we're usually talking crap on each other. I think he just assumed. All right, back to the game. So this was John Gibson's return to Anaheim. Um oh, we know Adam, we know, trust us. Um, his first game after being traded to Detroit in the offseason. Great tribute video, and it was it was it was tough seeing Gibson in a red in Red Wings gear. It it was very weird for me. Um, but it's good to know that uh we we we own the Red Wings still, so I'm happy about that. Um, but the ducks win this one five to two last night on Halloween. Um, let's get the scoring started in this one. On the penalty kill, that's right. Not in just um, no, it wasn't. I'm glad he's gone.
SPEAKER_01:He's talking about Gibson. Oh, yeah. That's what I was laughing about. Oh, I weird to see him, and he got out of the game.
SPEAKER_04:Um other than his him being injury prone the last few years and everything like that. I mean, he he was really good last year for the ducks when he wasn't injured. Um, but uh Troy Terry got the scoring start on this one, his fourth uh goal of the year, shorthanded a goal. Um, and I gotta say this, I don't remember the last time the ducks had you know multiple shorthanded goals like this since what I want to say the Kessler Silverberg Cogliano line, I think since like what 2017, 2016, that we had like short, like an actual like scoring penalty kill. Um, but uh the assist on that one go to Drew Hellison, his fourth of the year, and Leo Carlson's eighth assist of the year. Um, but about uh less than four minutes later, Lucas Raymond scores uh his third of the year, so now it's one-one, and then Uncle Leo gets his fifth of the year. Troy Terry his eighth assist of the season, and Jacob Truba's fourth assist of the year. So now it's two-one Anaheim after one. Then we go into the second, and Mr. McTavish just keeps he gets the puck and just goes from right and then goes in the middle. And I guess the I didn't know this, but the Red Wings play like that man-to-man defense, and Mr. McTavish mate got the two guys confused, and they end up bumping into each other, and he and McTavish just puts it like right in between like five players in the front of the net, and it and goes in. Beautiful shot, beautiful play by McTavish there. That's his second goal of the year. Uh Zellwegger and Cutter with assist at Zellwegger second and cutters third, so it's 3-1 Anaheim. And of course, I don't know what it is. Every time I watch the Ducks play against the Red Wings, and the Red Wings have a power play, it their power play looks so good. And they even have Patrick Kane in this game. They're just the way they pass the puck. It's it's fun to watch the Red Wings on the power play. I mean, it sucks that it's always against the Ducks when I see this, but they I do like the way they their power play moves the puck. Uh, but Dubrinka gets his fourth goal the year on the power play, so it's three to uh Anaheim after two, and then we go into the third period, and it was all ducks scoring from there. Chris Crater gets uh on the board on the power play goal, his fifth goal the year, Cutter's fourth assist of the season, and Leo Carlson's ninth assist of the year, and so it's four to Anaheim, and that was just less than a minute into the um the game. And this one was a weird goal because Gibson kind of pushed the puck, or not the puck, the net off its mornings, but the ducks still had a sh like possession and an actual shot, and Kreider shot it, and it technically would have been a goal if Gibson didn't move the net. So they and they reviewed it. We had and it was a goal, so it was four or two. Anaheim, and then Troy Terry on the empty net gets his fifth of the year, and Leo Carlson's tenth assist. That's right, you heard 10th assist. I believe Carlson had a four-point night last night. Terry had one, two, uh, he had three uh three points last night. Uh, Del Stall was just fantastic in this game. Um, now you can see why we had Dostal as the 1A last year over Gibson. Uh, it was this game that really proved why Dostal's number one and why he got that contract. Um, the ducks outshot Detroit 32 to 30. Faceoffs. We got to work on our face-offs. Um, it was 65 to 35. Power play, we were one for five, and Detroit was one for seven. Yeah. Um, we did out hit them 21 to 16. 12. Uh, we outblocked shot them. I don't know if that's the right word. Uh, we had more block shots, uh 12 to 10. Uh giveaways were even at 22, and the red wings had three takeaways to one. The three stars of the game was Jacob Truba uh with one assist for one point. I tell you, I'm very impressed with the way Jacob Truba is playing this year. I am very impressed with the way he's playing. Uh, and then Leo Carlson is the number two star with one goal, three assists for four points. And then Troy Terry continues his hot streak in with two goals, one assist for three points as the number one star of the game. So that ends our our little uh weekly recap for the games for the ducks. And I know you have uh after you're done, I want to talk about the 10 games, first 10 games of the year for the ducks. After you I got two games left, so I'll give you a little bit of a break after after I'm done with that. After your two games, yes.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, just want to make sure. Yep, okay. So we go to San Jose and play the sharks, and this game starts off pretty good. Um, Corey the scorey parry starts off the scoring in the first.
SPEAKER_04:No, no, no. You can't just do Corey the scorey. No, this isn't blues clues, you gotta just do scory perry.
SPEAKER_01:No, I I wanted to you know mix it up a little. Uh he scores the goal at the 1054 mark, his third already in the short period of time he's been playing, with uh with Clark his fifth assist and Ferrier his second assist to put the Kings up one to nothing, and that that's how the first period ends. And the Kings are up one-nothing, they had six shots on goal. San Jose had seven. It gets scary going into the second period, so then Jeff Millot gets his second from Perry, his second, and Edmundson Corey the scory, one of us.
SPEAKER_04:He's with the kings now, he can have that terrible nickname. That'd be like me saying Dave Redick was oh Dave the big save Dave. You see how stupid it sounds?
SPEAKER_01:No, it's okay, you can do what you want. I'm gonna do what I want. Corey the scorey, Kevin liked it, so hey, zip it, boy. Don't make me put you in time out during the podcast.
SPEAKER_04:I want to hear the comments on this one. You're already seeing it. No, I meant like when the whole podcast like when we it goes on a podcast.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, so can I go on or do you want to interrupt some more? Go Corey the scorey, zip it, Cody, zip it. Millot gets a second from Perry, his second, and Edmondson is fourth to make it 2-0 at the 321 mark. Then Drew Daddy gets his first from Doomlin, his first, and Turkot his third at the 643 mark to put the Kings up three to nothing. So they're up three to nothing, and at this time that I think they'd been outshot by at least seven or eight shots already. Uh, and they're winning three to nothing. But all of a sudden, here come the sharks. Will Smith gets his third from Celebrini, his tenth, and Tefoli his second. And I gotta tell you guys, Celebrini's the real deal, man. Yeah, I mean, totally impressed. I think I I I brought up a question before the season started. Who would you take, Celebrini or Bedard? I think everybody took Celebrini, though, and they're both looking good right now. Yeah, well, Celebrini's looking awesome.
SPEAKER_04:Well, I think Bedard only has like one less point than Celebrini does, or not that far.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, uh well, obviously they're uh two number ones. I mean, yeah. Anyway, so then Philip Kurosov scores his second from Wenberg, his third, and Eklund his sixth at the 17-6 mark, and now it's three to two. Second period ends with the kings up three to two. But let's hear, let me just get the shots for you. The king had Kings had 10 shots. Sharks had 23. 23 shots. So now we're gonna go to the third period, and Alex Wenberg gets his second from Kirushef his second, and Skinner his second, and we're tied 3-3. And that was at the 448 mark of the third period. Then Brand Clark starting to show some of that offensive promise that the Kings were expecting, gets his second. You've been hearing his name quite a bit today, by the way. And Kempe um with his nine assists, uh, nine ninth assist, and Edmondson with his fifth at the 1320 mark for a 4-3 Kings lead, and that's how the game ended. 4-3, but shots on goal 40 to 14, 40 to 14. How does a team that expected to come in last in the division outscore a team that's supposed to be a playoff team, out shoot them 40 to 14? Faceoffs. Hey, the Kings won it 52-48. Again, another I get obviously the PK's working a little bit now. Kings were 0 for 1, but San Jose was 0 for 5. Hits now, at least we're in the ballpark on this one. Uh, we had 14, the sharks had 17. The block shots had to be the difference because the kings had 23 to 12. So that's when you definitely want to win, but we keep winning the giveaways. Uh, that was 14 kings, nine sharks takeaways. It was sharks six kings three. Let's go to the three stars of the game. Any guesses on who the three stars are? All sharks. No, no. Actually, for the one of the first times they've actually put the per person who should have been the first star, the first star. Winberg was the third star with a goal and assist. In fact, all three of these players had a goal and assist. Kuroshev was a second star, obviously, with a goal and assist. And the game winner from Brant Clark with a goal and assist is your number one star. And he should have been the number one star. Okay, then we'll go to my last game, which is the Detroit Red Wings. And Wed Wings. Yeah, I'm I'm Elma Fud. So let's go to the scoring. You know, LaFerry. Uh, the second first period was no scoring. Second period, Alex LaFerrier short-handed from Quentin. Uh Quentin Byfield is seventh, and CC is second on a backhand shot. Put the come uh the kings up one-nothing. But that didn't stay very long. Alex DeBrinkett on the power play gets his third from Raymond is seventh, and Cider his fourth at the 1322 mark, just about a minute later, and the game is tied one. Then Marco Casper scores on the power play again, his second from Sandine Polinka and his second, and cop his third, a fourth, excuse me, um, to put the Detroit up two to one, and that's how it ended after two periods. We go to the third period, and Marco Casper gets his third from Appleton, his third, and Debris at his ninth to put Detroit up three to one. Then we go to uh getting late in the game, and who scores, but Corey Perry with his fourth from Kempe is tenth, and Fiala is fourth at the 1747 mark. So now it's 3-2. So, you know, we still have time. Then Corey Perry gets us fifth from Quentin Byfield is eighth, and Kopitar is fifth at the 1827 mark to tie the game up 3-3. We go to overtime where we should have won a game, and overtime again. We did not. Uh we we go to a uh shootout, a shootout, and Adrian Kempe was first to go for the Kings, and there was a save. Lucas Raymond scored. Corey Perry shot save to brinkett shot save, fiala shot save, and then which fiala was this?
SPEAKER_04:Was this Philip Deneau Fiala or Fiala Fiala?
SPEAKER_01:Uh I I do believe it was the actual real Kevin Fiala. Okay, just I think Deneau just dressed up early for Halloween, looking like Fiala when he shot that shot. Maybe just maybe.
SPEAKER_04:24, 22, like I guess it's kind of kind of close.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, well, but still like multiple multiple outlets got that wrong, so it was so one thing I gotta say about the media for the kings. They give the proper players three stars, they don't care if it's not a king. I mean, Cory Perry was the third star, he had two goals. I mean, the the guy's 40 years old. What uh he's like the energizer bunny, he just keeps going and going and going, and and I could see why Ducks fan loved him for so long. Probably the Euler fans are going, God, we let him get away. They should have re-signed him. Uh, I it and look at I don't think Edmonton's doing fantastic this year. Alex Deprecant was a second star with a goal and assist. Um, and the first star was uh Casper with two goals and no assist, and that finishes off the games from uh last week.
SPEAKER_04:So uh go ahead, Cody. On on TikTok, I used one of the reels about Cory Perry finally making his LA Ducks debut, and I got quite a few comments on TikTok. Um, you know, friend of the podcast, uh Tim from Go Dwigs or Go Home. He commented saying, couldn't stand the guy. Uh, but nice he joined LA. Gotta love him since he's on the Kings, he's a grinder, and love his net front presence. There's some other comments that I'm I don't want to say on the podcast. Um, but Perry shouldn't get the hate. Dude is getting us points. That's all that matters. Grow up. And then here's another one. Uh, and that was from Dane uh Demon Marquez. This is from Laura. Uh, I was excited ever since I heard he was coming to us. I know people aren't fond of him, and they keep saying he's a he there's bad blood. A lot of that stays on the ice. He's friends with a lot of the guys on the team, especially with Dowdy. As Drew said, and as Drew said, and other people, he's a guy you don't want to play against, he's the guy you want on your team. And look how much he's done for us already. I will root for Corey Perry. He is an LA King now.
SPEAKER_01:You know, I I could understand why Kings fans I know Eddie Garcia from Lock on Kings. He's just had so many years to hate the guy. It's hard to like him, I mean, or say love him like a king. But I mean, we're all about winning, right? Yep, and then and then and he's a he he's a winner, yeah.
SPEAKER_04:Lat last comment I'm gonna say from uh Nate Benson. As a Kings fan, Cory Perry is Cory Perry on the team is hard to see, but if he produces, I'll take it. But I'm definitely not buying his jersey. I'm not buying either. That's that's fine. Um, I I wasn't you know expecting uh all that, but uh Kevin did ask us a question. Yeah, I I saw it. If you guys can decide the three penalty shots for the Kings, uh who would you pick to shoot?
SPEAKER_01:Well, we were missing one of the guys that typically probably would have shot early on um against the Red Wings. Uh Trevor Moore wasn't there that night, and he would have been probably in there. I mean, I I would go Kempe Fiala. I mean, I you you can't argue with Perry, he's scoring goals, but then I would have Moore go. Um, I and you got you gotta or Clark. Let's get Clark in there. He's he's he's he's quick with his uh stick handling and stuff and score goals, and and byfield hasn't had much success, but I think we need to throw him out there and give him confidence. I say let Kemper, I say let Kemper go.
SPEAKER_04:What let Kemper take the shootout? Oh I uh I guess for the Kings, I don't know who I mean, whoever my dad thinks, I think it would be the right choice as well. Um, like I said for the ducks, I mean uh I mean I think we have uh we have Leo, McTavish, and Terry. I mean, that that's three great shootout guys right there already. So um, but all right. So are you done with the King stuff? Yeah, okay. So I just want to talk about the first 10 games from last season for the Ducks and the first 10 games of the season this year for the Ducks. So this is last year. We were four, four, and two. Are you just gonna leave now? Alright, so the ducks were four, four, and two. They had a total of 10 points, they had 20 goals for and seven or sorry, 20 goals for and 27 goals against their highest point getter in those first 10 games was Terry. He had five goals and three assists, and after that it was Carl Carlson with four goals, two assists, and then after that, and then after that, it was Strome with three goals, two assists. So we had a guy with eight points, six points, and five points. Oh, and McTavish had five points. So those were the top four right there. This season so far. The ducks are six, three, and one with 13 points, 36 goals for, and 33 goals against. Our highest point getter right now is Carlson with 15 points, five goals, 10 assists, and then Terry with 13 points with five goals, eight assists. And then we got uh Cutter with 10 points, six goals, four assists, and then after that, we uh McTavish with eight points, two goals, six assists, and then Granlin, two goals, six assists as well. So already a huge difference in points from this from last season to this season. Like last year, we didn't even have any double-digit point guys in the first 10 10 games. This year we already have three, and we have two guys already knocking on the doorstep. And maybe if Granlin didn't get hurt in Tampa Bay, maybe he could have been another uh double-digit uh point getter. So it's just telling you that there's a lot of improvement already from last season to this season, and I'm liking it so far. The ducks are very high-paced, you know, like not afraid to beat you on the rush, which is that's how they're scoring most of these goals. So I guess a big difference. The only thing I would wish is like the less goals against would be great. I mean, that's what everyone wants, but from last year 27 to this year 33, that that's like the big difference. Uh, like defensively, we need to get better on, but offensively, 20 goals for last year and 36 goals for this year. So, and like I said, Carlson's in 10 games has 15 points. I didn't like I said, we didn't even have a single guy in double digits last year in the first 10 games, and we already got three this year.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, they're they're definitely a huge improvement offensively. Yeah, huge.
SPEAKER_04:So Terry last year in the first 10 games had eight points. This year, 13. Carlson, 15 points this year. Last year he had six. Uh Cutter last year, six like right now. He has six goals, four assists. Last year, uh Cutter had four assists. Remember, Cutter didn't score his first goal until like mid-November. And now he already has six already, and he still hit 20 goals last season.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, so I I I have to are you done with your little thing? I'm done. I I didn't want to interrupt, sorry. Um I had a question for you, and you can't cheat and look. Okay. Name an Edmonton Euler in the top 10 in scoring.
SPEAKER_04:Is there actually one?
SPEAKER_01:You have to answer the question. It's not ask a question of the person asking the question.
SPEAKER_04:So there is an Edmonton Euler in the top ten right now.
SPEAKER_01:That's still a question. Give me an answer. You can give me an answer on it because you don't know who the top ten are. Name me an Edmonton Euler in the top ten. Are you looking?
SPEAKER_04:No.
SPEAKER_01:Um I'll change, I'll even change the question. Name an Edmonds and Euler in the top 20 in scoring right now, without including any games that might be played today, if there are any going on right now. And there is one.
SPEAKER_04:See, thank you. That's all I want to know.
SPEAKER_01:If there was I'm gonna give you that in the top 10, there was zero.
SPEAKER_04:See, you that was a trick question.
SPEAKER_01:Zero. That's the question. What can you believe there's zero Edmonton Oilers in the top 10?
SPEAKER_04:Okay, see, that's what I that's why I asked. Like, I'm like, well, you can see but I but you asked the question, how many? Or no, you said can you name me? You didn't say how many, can you name me? Yeah, so you you asked me a trip question, and technically I kind of answered it by asking, wait, are there any? So technically I would have gotten that right.
SPEAKER_01:So there's one, and can you tell me who that is and what position they're in in scoring? Are you looking at it?
SPEAKER_04:We already narrowed it down to half of it. I'ma say dry sidel at 18.
SPEAKER_01:Pretty close. Really? Number he's 20th.
SPEAKER_04:So look, like I said, I I swear I didn't look it up or anything. I believe you.
SPEAKER_01:So IVC you've already named a duck that is in the top. Yep, 20. Or he's uh 16. Actually Adrian Kempe and Leo Carlson are both tied with the exact same stats, five goals, ten assists in 16th and 17th place. So we each have a guy above the McJesus and Dreisidal. Wow, that just blows me away thinking about that because you're always seeing McDavid Dreisidel top five.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, but the thing is, like Edmonton always sucks in the beginning, like they never perform good, and then they go, they just start like you know, a 10-game win streak, and then like one or two losses, and then another like six-game win streak, and then like you know, so kind of hard to judge the Edmonton Oilers until like I would say about January.
SPEAKER_01:So you want to know where you stand on your predictions for the ducks? Oh crap, I totally forgot about that.
SPEAKER_04:Um, where am I at? So out of I'm guessing I'm like five, I'm guessing like five and five.
SPEAKER_01:Actually, right on the money, five and five. You went you went one and two last week. If you would have picked them to beat the Panthers, you would have been two and one instead of one and two. Okay, and so you're five and five. I went two and two, which was my best week. Okay, so I'm four and eight, you're five and five. I mean so it's a reverse of last year. I started off pretty good and got I got I got quite a big lead on you, and then you came roaring back, and then I I think I ended up winning by a little bit last year.
SPEAKER_04:I so do you do you want to know what the standings look like right now? So in the central uh Colorado's one with 18 points, and then Winnipeg and Utah are in second and third. Uh Winnipeg's second, Utah's third, with each of them have 16 points.
SPEAKER_01:Right.
SPEAKER_04:And the Pacific, the Golden Knights are number one with 15 points, the Kings are number two with 14 points, and the Ducks are number three with 13 points. But here's the thing: the Knights have played 11 games with 15 points, the Kings have played 12 games with 14 points, and the Ducks have only played 10 and have 13 points. So if the Ducks win, like at least match up, we could be tied with Vegas.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Uh what did I say at the start of the season? Look out, look out. Yeah, I had a gut feeling about that. I mean, I'm not sure it's gonna be sustained, and if it is, I mean, Anaheim Duck fans, you're gonna be very, very happy. Um, I gotta tell you, I like to watch them, they're fun to watch.
SPEAKER_04:They are it's they are, and I can tell you, and the one thing I'm finally happy about is that everyone, like all the social media and all the like the like just not like main team hockey podcasts, but like all the general hockey podcast people, all of them are now talking about how exciting the the Ducks team is. And I'm hearing like the spitting chiclets guys, the you know, the guys on 32 uh Elliot and Kyle are talking about it. Like it's the other podcast, they're all talking about like how exciting this team is to watch.
SPEAKER_01:Well, thank you, Kevin. Yeah, I agree. I mean, yeah, the one thing I am is I am a huge hockey fan first. I I was I had um the NHL network on this morning, and I'm watching the highlights from last night because I don't get to watch all the games because I do work nights. Um but like I I said, is it's you know the Sharks are a fun team to watch.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, they are.
SPEAKER_01:Um Chicago played I was impressed with all these teams that were bottom feeders not that long ago. You see okay, Kevin, you secretly like the ducks.
SPEAKER_04:Out of boy, Kevin, come to the duck side.
SPEAKER_01:You know. Good.
SPEAKER_04:You and Darth Vader. Even though that wasn't Vader, that was more palpatine.
SPEAKER_01:Whatever.
SPEAKER_04:You're definitely a Sith Lord, that's for sure. It's funny. I I love the Sith Lord, but I am definitely not a Sith in real life. But you gotta admit, as much as I love that like the dark side in the Star Wars universe, I just love how dark side and then duck side it sounds so close, and I love saying that. Wow. Join the duck side. Um but uh so uh by the way, I first of all I want to apologize to everyone for the whole Spotify issue. They flagged our intro song for some reason. I'm working on it on getting it back. I've already appealed the thing because I already bought proof of I bought it like a year ago or whatever, about being able to use the intro song for stuff. I already bought it, you know, to be able to use it. So Spotify changed their copyright music laws, and so I'm having issues with that. So if people on Spotify, you know, I'm sorry, you know, I'm working on it, trust me. Um, I should hear back by this next week on what's going on. So episode 84 and 85 is not on Spotify right now, but you can go back on like listen to Amazon Music, iHeart, Overcast, Apple, watch on YouTube, and you go uh like go back and watch it on Twitch, like you know, Kevin here. Um, so I just want to give everyone a heads up on that. Yeah, yeah, stupid, it's stupid changing copyright laws like that.
SPEAKER_01:Um, but well, yeah, they they're just trying to not get into a lawsuit. So I mean, yeah.
SPEAKER_04:Um I don't want to get in a lawsuit. No, I I mean I already had proof that of purchase to use that song, but it's the intro song that we have, yeah. Because we the AI one is the one I created and I got proof of that one too. So perfect. So yeah. Um yeah, can you believe the Dallas Stars are a wildcard team right now? And the Kraken are too.
SPEAKER_01:Well, yeah, the Kraken, another surprise. Look at I that's why the games are played because you just never know what's gonna happen. I mean, the Kraken, the Kraken were not projected to be a playoff team, ducks were not projected to be a playoff team. The mammoth, look how well they've played.
SPEAKER_04:Man, that cooley paturka gunther line, it's probably one of the best lines in hockey right now. That line is fun to watch.
SPEAKER_01:Um there's an ownership group that wants to win.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, and honestly, good on Ryan Smith for doing all that.
SPEAKER_01:And this Sam Well, the Sam Wellys have almost said they'd open up the the their bank account to make the ducks better, and I think they've done it. So, you know, and the Kings let's stop Nicholin and Dimene campaign, get him signed. I mean, come on. I he's uh he's become he's their best player right now, yeah. By I mean, even over Kopi, Kopi probably takes a back seat to him, yeah. But he you know, they they did miss Kope when he was out, though. So I mean, he's definitely still the best face-off guy the Kings have.
SPEAKER_04:All right, quick question before we get out of here. True. Um, who's your surprise like team that's playing well so far in all in in the whole league? And who's your surprise like disappointment? So our biggest surprise, biggest disappointment so far. And why while you're thinking uh Kevin said that uh nature steel looks great comparable, just get it done at uh eight times 11 and a half for camp uh for campe and stop playing hardball with him. No, we agree, and like I said, before the season even started, we should have said that campe they should have signed campe at that eight times ten, and now with all these new deals coming out, looking like he's gonna be getting like eight times twelve or something like that.
SPEAKER_01:Well, you know, it's funny, you know. I guess the biggest surprise to me, and and this is no slap at the ducks, is Detroit's just been talented and not not playing well. Who they're up there. I mean, because we talked about you know the ducks. I mean, Chicago would be another one to be a bigger surprise to me than the the ducks would be. Um and I I think Utah's had the talent too.
SPEAKER_04:Um so okay, so who's your surprise team?
SPEAKER_01:I I would I would have to say Detroit. I I didn't think they'd make the playoffs. I thought they were gonna make it last year, and I know they just missed. See, I they have they have a lot of talent on that team.
SPEAKER_04:See, you're I I think you're missing an obvious one.
SPEAKER_01:Pittsburgh. Oh, that's true. Uh, you're right.
SPEAKER_04:I am totally didn't even because I uh Crosby Malkin. Yeah, and like I said, and they they look good too. It's not like they're just like winning games because you know they're just squeaking out wins, they're looking good, but they're another surprise team in the opposite way would be Washington looks like a 500 team right now.
SPEAKER_01:Well, I mean, look at Toronto, their last place in the east. That's did you think Marner would make that big a difference?
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, I mean, well, I mean, Florida has all the injuries, so I'll give them a little, I'll give them a pass on that. I mean, Tampa Bay is not even, I mean, they're tied for the last wild card in a way, but not really. Um, but like on the West, I mean Minnesota and St. Louis, they've they've looked bad, and in uh Calgary, um, I should say, uh I I think Wolf carried that team last year, and I called that. Yeah, they're they're not scoring, and I honestly, and I didn't think that I would see that the Kings are a minus four and the ducks are a plus four in goal differential. Wow, oh like and the Dallas Stars minus two, Edmonton. Uh yeah, but even Chicago's a plus four. Everyone else, there's only in the west, there's only one, two, three teams. Oh, sorry. Five, six teams that have a positive goal differential. Colorado, Winnipeg, Utah, Vegas, Anaheim, and Chicago. Everyone else has a minus goal differential, and the and that's just on the west. In the east, you got one, two, three, four, five, one, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, eight with a positive, and the tip of A is just neutral. Uh, and then Kevin says the Kings defense and PK has been pretty surprising. Surprisingly good or surprisingly bad? Bad.
SPEAKER_01:Okay. And their BK obviously, yeah, this last week was a lot better, but you know, their biggest problem is just they're in the penalty box way too much.
SPEAKER_04:I mean, they're all two and two at home, and you guys were the best home team last year. Is it time to bring back the harmic queens?
SPEAKER_01:Uh yeah, maybe something they need to kick start. You know, it'd be nice today to see them play because they've got three really good teams that are gonna be playing here this next week. Because we have to go through that yet. We haven't finished with that. For which one? The predictions for next week.
SPEAKER_04:Oh, yeah, let's get to that.
SPEAKER_01:So I'll go. I'll you go. You want it okay. Uh I got you know what the Kings find a way to lose. So a lot of their losses, though, are they get a point, which I don't know. Somebody said it's it's a tie game, and the the other team won the bonus point. So that's how to look at it. And uh, whoever I can't remember who said that, but uh making it sounds like an American thing. I think I think it was uh on the um all the kings men with Jesse Cohen. Oh I think they uh he's the one that said it. I'm pretty sure it was him now. Well, anyways, I've I've got the Kings losing today against uh the Devils. I think the Devils are very dangerous team. Jack Hughes seems to come back with an abandoned man, he's going crazy, looking very good. Um, I I got him losing 4-2 on today. Tuesday, they are playing against the Jets. I have them losing 4-2, and then Thursday, they're playing the Panthers, losing 4-3.
SPEAKER_04:All right, so tomorrow the Ducks will play against the New Jersey Devils at home. I'm I'm predicting a 3-2 win. Um, and then on Tuesday, uh the Ducks are home against the Panthers, and we will conclude our uh season series against the Panthers. Um, and I have a feeling the Ducks will win this one four to three in the last game of the week. Uh, will be Thursday. Um, and this is in Dallas, and I'm predicting a 5-2 loss on this one.
SPEAKER_01:So is that just because it's the stars? Because actually, the dead I think the Devils are a better team right now than the Stars are.
SPEAKER_04:I just think that uh the Ducks play better against the Devils than the Stars.
SPEAKER_01:Interesting.
SPEAKER_04:So I don't know. I just just my I don't know, gut feeling kind of thing.
SPEAKER_01:Well, you know, it's to me I'm frustrated. When I'm frustrated, I go the opposite of what I want, yeah. And I hope I'm wrong, and I hope I'm uh 4 and 11 next week. Just you Kings fans thinking, oh, why is he doing that? I go kick start him.
SPEAKER_04:Yep, and then uh before we get out of here, I did put on social media to have everyone put out their favorite you know, Halloween costume that they won or favorite Halloween candy, and we did get uh one reply. It's hoping to get more, but hopefully, hopefully next year we'll get more uh Halloween candy and costumes. But uh the LA Kings channel, so Dylan, I don't put dum dums are an underrated Halloween candy if given out.
SPEAKER_01:I don't mind dum dumbs. Yeah, the candy I don't mind, the other dum-dums I could deal with out because I see them on the road all the time. Well, that's so you know, so all right, dad.
SPEAKER_04:All right, favorite Halloween candy, and then which one you just know?
SPEAKER_01:Oh, Kevin says Twizzlers and Dots are the best.
SPEAKER_04:No, red vines, red vines are the best.
SPEAKER_01:I'm sorry, Kevin. I'm a red vines guy myself. Uh dots are I don't mind doing it. I'm not talking about the dots, though. I you know, butterfinger, butterfinger is my favorite candy.
SPEAKER_04:So for me, I don't know what like and I know this goes with mom's theory, and I agree with mom's theory, but um the holiday Oreos are just better. I I will agree with mom on this. Like, there is something about the holiday Oreos that make them better, and then the hollow the holiday Reese's too. Because you I feel like you get a little bit more peanut butter with like the pumpkin and or the Christmas tree ones. E2, Cody, E2, E2, yeah, means you too. Yeah, uh, red vines are better, I agree, but twizzlers come in those little Halloween size packages. See, yes, the holiday Reese's are the best. Uh I guess I've always been a butterfinger guy. Um I'm I grew up to and I started liking the like the like the little snack size Snickers, too. Oh, I love Snickers. Yeah, I was never a big Snickers guy before, but now it's like I I don't know if I could do like the full bar. I just but that little that little snack size is like or fun size ones are like perfect.
SPEAKER_01:So so all you fans, I I got a few things for you to think about and try. So one thing I love is you put Oreos in the freezer.
SPEAKER_04:Hmm. Okay, that's true.
SPEAKER_01:I mean, you gotta be careful when you first crunch it on them, they're really hard. You don't want to break a tooth or something like that. Like I had happened a couple weeks ago, but that was on a potato chip, and it was an old crown, and it anyways. Um, but I I I turned on two guys at work to the frozen Oreos, and they go, Oh, that's a keeper. Yeah, you know, also refrigerating your Snickers bars and butterfingers. Oh my gosh, it takes it to another level. Yeah, um, I mean, I think you could do it with just about any candy bar. Yeah, I mean, I'm not I I I would not do red vines.
SPEAKER_04:Red vines moms are just saying red vines are better, and I raised you right, and then uh oops, even uh Kit Kat or Special Holiday Reese. See, everyone's on this holiday Reese's. I do like a good Kit Kat too. Um, and then Kevin, I'll try the frozen arrows or report back with my review next week. Kevin, what's another what's another Kevin? It's a winner winner. I guarantee you. Oh um, yes, Halloween Sour Patch Kids. I just love sour patch. That's another good one, mom. I love sour, I love sour candy too. It's either like chocolate or sour for me. And then uh, and then even Adam, yes, Vicky red vines are amazing.
SPEAKER_01:All right, um, especially when they're fresh, really fresh. Oh my god, I can't stop eating them when they're fresh. Now I gotta go get some red vines. Thank you guys. Okay, hold on.
SPEAKER_04:Favorite MM. Well, uh is it just regular peanut peanut MMs, peanut MMs for me? It's the the peanut MMs and then the pretzel MMs, if you could find them. And those in the refrigerator, another winner winner. See, you know what's I'm surprised which candy you didn't say, and it's one that like you always get in your stockings and like for Halloween.
SPEAKER_01:Uh, I got a silver, you mean? Huh? I get a silver, you get a silver, yeah. The commercial was York peppermint patties, right? Yeah, yes, I love York, and those are good frozen or in the refrigerator, too.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, uh, and even Adam said peanut butter or crunch and I haven't tried the crunch ones. I'll have to try that one. All right, but I'm gonna try to make this a reel. I want everyone right now put in the comments what's your favorite Halloween candy. So I think a lot of people have been already doing that. No, I'm I want to hear all of social all our social media followers to give their opinion.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, so challenge. Tell us your favorite candy. We will announce the winner next week. Who winner to what? Which candy is the winner? Oh, which candy is the winner? I was like, we're not we're winner for there's no prize for this one, guys. It's you already got the candy, you got to eat it. But which candy is is our hockey fans uh most hockey fans like the best? Which one's gonna win the prize for that? Yeah, put it in the refrigerator, and you'll find out it's different, like Butterfinger refrigerated or warm or just right out of the wrapper. Refrigeratored one wins every time. Oreos, same thing. I like the freezer, uh, but I will put them in the refrigerator too. So see, and this is me.
SPEAKER_04:My last one before we I I close this out. Uh, if we're while we're speaking of Oreos, you know how people like to dump it in milk, you know, for the Oreos? Nope. I always do chocolate milk. I'm a chocolate, I know it's a I know it's a problem, but I always I like to dump my Oreos in chocolate milk. And it hits every time. Just saying.
SPEAKER_01:All right, ready to get out of here? I oh plain MM slightly melted. Okay.
SPEAKER_04:That's a that's different. Yeah. Or uh MMs with popcorn.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, yeah. Mom used to do that when we took you when you guys were younger to uh the movies.
SPEAKER_03:Yep.
SPEAKER_01:That that is killer.
SPEAKER_04:So I'm not a strawberry person, but or a golden Oreos person, but that does sound actually pretty good. Not gonna lie. Golden Oreos and strawberry milk.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, he he he won't he won't even try it, Adam. Yeah, I won't try it.
SPEAKER_04:Unless somebody else try it for me. But all right, um he's not a strawberry fan. No, so all right. Well, thank you everyone for tuning in to this live stream for Royal Aquacked episode 86. Um, Kevin, it's okay. I'll I'll try it. All right, Kevin, get back to us on that. We you you you'll have a your report is due next Saturday at the live stream, okay? I expect it on my desk first thing.
SPEAKER_01:So, Kevin, you want to you can just come on and and be part of the live stream with us next week if you want to. Would you like to do that, Kevin? Adam, you're always welcome, you know that.
SPEAKER_04:So well, Adam will just message me on Friday night. Hey, I'm coming on. Okay, that's cool.
SPEAKER_01:Whatever.
SPEAKER_04:All right, I like I like having other opinions on the uh podcast, so no, I did too, but uh uh Kevin, if you're uh if you're good with that, you can come on and you can give us your food report. Yes, um, so uh everyone, thank you again for tuning in. You know, Kevin, Adam, my mom, everyone uh on the podcast. Don't forget to put in the comments what your favorite Halloween candy is.
